Manchester Orchestra tickets now on sale!

I really haven’t meant for this to turn into a WQAQ blog, but finalizing some things about this show has definitely taken up most of my life recently.

The final band has been confirmed as the very excellent Cut Off Your Hands from New Zealand. They sound somewhere between the Cure, the Killer’s first album, and Dear & the Headlights. Their newest album is called “You & I” and I strongly recommend it. This will probably be one of the only times they play Connecticut ever, so don’t miss it!

Also, advance ticketing has started, and you can buy yours HERE. Including service charge they’re something like $6.63 each, and you can print them at home of your own convenience.

If you are a Quinnipiac student, do NOT buy your ticket online. Starting the Monday after spring break, March 16th, I believe, we’re going to have free tickets available in the student center. Just show your Q-Card and you’re golden. Students are obviously a priority here, and there WILL be enough available for all who want them. We’re also going to have some guest tickets available for $5 each.

If you don’t want to buy a ticket online at all, a limited quanitity of 100 or so will be available at Redscroll Records in Wallingford, CT starting sometime the week of March 16th. Pending online sales, these may (and probably will) be retracted before the show date, so if you’re considering this as an option do it sooner rather than later. These tickets will be $5.

It’s going to be an awesome show! See you all there! RSVP to the event on, I’ll post the Facebook one when it gets made!

  1. not to be an asshole, but the beginnings of “Happy as Can Be” and “Let’s Get Out of Here” are nearly the same… and also really similar to “Last night I said these words to my girl..” by the Beatles. Anyway, I like the guy’s voice.

  2. that song being “Please Please Me,” I momentarily forgot..
